ESC Belgrad Serbia 2008

Well, another place in the former east side of the world.

Per Sundin back as the LD and all the old gang. Pretty good show but I had the chance to leave before the final and leaving poor Korven at the computers ( It´s good to be the king !!)

Procon and Jan Schroeder was great to get friend with, very nice guy!!

The building place......pipes and pipes and LED....Jocke from VUAB ( now Massteknik) did chock the entire techworld to be ready with the LED´s before the light and noiseboys!!!

Nobel Price 2007

First time with Hippotizers here, Screenwarp works so great!!

Johan West is for the first time onboard and had a chance to get some "sockerdrick" in tuxedo along with the rest of the Nobel guests! Also some DL2 from HighEnd...

Working with Morgan Brown, the nice young man with his Arkaos system, and yes he is now a devoted Hippo guy after this!

ESC Helsinki 2007

This actually a picture from our eggboiler, a gift from Timo Kauristo since we, on our long journey in the ESC, had serious problems to get a proper boiled egg at the breakfeast at the hotels, either a green, hard stone or something that was popped out from the bird...

So we had this and the Flashlight guys had a great time when looked at us, standing close to our computer park, with some really strange apps and setups for the Hippos, looking at the manual as two fools and had a hard time to understand how this piece of metal was working....by the way, we get some great eggs anyway!!


This is the official Gönka Curling, I made some content for the shape of ledwalls and turn this to a curling ramp, with animations and all, my dream was to have some shots where we was standing with brooms and having a great play
Me, fat and relaxed, Korven was freezing his butts of and also had pain in his neck....and we was close to a hockey arena where the gate was to the Broadcast busses, and the idiots did never to close the door after the passed.....every "f'....ing" time




Mikki Kuntu, the very talanted and great guy that was choosen as LD for this year made a impressive job, and had the good taste to involve me and Korven for the stuff.

The first time with Hippotizers, and just that is a still going story...

Great operators from Finland and Timo ( my favorite fin) was onboard.

Zok had a rough time but we are still friends!

First time to use the great "PufferSpheres", great guys and a very cool effect.

Nicke was struggling with all the photos that was flloded in by the photographer to been seen directly on the screens in the VIP party area


Big stage and placed on Hovet. Lot of LED´s and stuff.Bullen as LD and me and Korven punching out content!

Nobel Price 2006

The same set up this year, the nee of a screenwarp is making me looking at Hippo for the roof.

This time with a couple of DL2 from HighEnd, funny things.Timo as operator and this year also some LED in the stairs

SVT 50 year, HD startup

The Swedish televsion SVT make a birthday as 50 years, me and Korven was making content, planning how to make all in HD, seen i HD live and the broadcast as well. The only thing that was not in HD was the plasma screens on the stage, since they was to old and need to bee feeded with composit signal to not flicker in the new HD cameras, the LD Sundin and Mr.Jönsson was also finding out that HD needs more lights....and the closeups needs to be not so close....

Nobel Price 2005

A set up with a wish for projections on the roof, and that´s a football area that has to be covered with invisible projectors, goosh!!! We made it after some ground thinking and hours of tweaked content!! Per Sundin as Ld, Ola Melzig as the loud PM! Also on the picture is Lovely Joan and Lotta! We are well dressed up here as you se!!

ESC Ukraine 2005

Mamma Mia! The worst time ever, in a country I have no plan to visit any more.

Still we made this working out, but for a price that still make me suffer.

A very robust followspot was on the arena, a really Vladmor Thrower

ESC Turkey 2004

Ooops!  The Catalyst forest was born for the 50m wide backprojection and also our way to handle files to 16 mediaservers. All the huge clips we had to split into "normal" sizes was a lot! We had to make the 7800x 800 pixels all the renders, BUT this time I have my very talanted  Lennart "Korven" Wåhlin at the place so we made it....

Per Sundin as the LD, Bullen as the operator for the Catalyst´s, Emma and Danne also as the lightpushers...

Memories is all the kebab (that I never had eaten after this )

ESC Latvia 2003

Only me, 2 G4 and a 22" screen.....and a lot of work!

But the catering had several choices between " pork,chicken or soup", everyday.....

A 3 week session with nice friends as: Per Sundin, Pontus"Bullen" Lagerbielke, Emma Landare and Danne Persson.

A standard setting was born, the LED floor that made turkey the winners that year

ESC Tallin 2002

The show Lighting Designer Per Sundin designed special gobos called "ShaaRock" which were made by Beacon AB in Sweden., That was the thing about ESC,my tribute to this event only, but the Catalyst was in version 1.0 hopefully....

Polar Prize 2001

I did graphic material for a big screen for the "master" Stockhausen, the father of electronic music. As the others, Robert Moog and Burt Bacharach had some 5 minutes performance, Stockhausen had a almost 15 minutes long piece ( live broadcast!) with his "Gesang der junglinge"

that I had to make as good as I could to illustrate the music.....not a piece of cake, since he was very hard in his opinion about what is good and what is crap.....I did make it!
